INNZ (Index New Zealand)

An index of New Zealand periodicals (magazines and newspapers). Use INNZ to search for articles on your chosen subject and find the title of the article, author, name of magazine or newspaper, date, issue and a brief abstract (not full-text). Most articles will be available on Interloan.

Search this database to find out what items are held in the National Library. Most of these items will be available to borrow on Interloan.

New Zealand Libraries Catalogue

Use the New Zealand Libraries Catalogue to search for items by author, title or keywords. This database will tell you whether a particular item is held in a New Zealand library or not. Click on the icon of a particular library and you will immediately find out whether the book is in the library or on issue. If an item is not held in the Marlborough District Libraries it is usually possible to borrow from another library using Interloan.

    findNZarticles, a search facility across indexing databases, is a tool for finding information about New Zealand. Provides access to New Zealand content, including material by or about New Zealanders from a range of New Zealand newspapers and journals. To make retrieval easier the content of findNZarticles is divided into three broad areas:

    • Culture - for arts and humanities material
    • Newspapers - for news and current events
    • Science and technology.

    Accessing Indexed Material

    Once you have identified the required article it can be obtained by contacting your local library using interloan.

    EBSCO Host. The Australia/NZ Reference Centre combines Australia and New Zealand - specific magazines, newspapers, newswires, and reference books to create the largest collection of regional full text content available to public libraries, schools, and academic institutions.
