Services available at the Marlborough District Libraries include:

  • Self-service photocopiers
  • Information services - a help desk providing trained staff to help you research information
  • Homework Assistance @ "Homework Zone" 3.30 pm - 5.00 pm, Monday-Friday
  • Renewal services - items on loan can be renewed by telephone or on this website
  • After-hours book returns - books can be returned to the library at any time of the day or night
  • Children's school holiday programmes
  • Display space for promotion of community activities
  • Display boards for community notices

Interloans / Requests

Reservations: if an item held is out, it can be reserved for you. A reserve charge of $1.00 per item applies.

Interloan: if a item is not available in the libraries' collection, the libraries will try to borrow it from another library. An interloan charge of $5.00 per item interloaned applies

Homebound Library Service

If you find it difficult to get out of the house, or know somebody who is elderly or disabled and homebound, we have a team of volunteers who will come and get to know what people like and dislike, and then select, deliver and exchange books and other items such as Talking Books, videos, DVDs, music CDs and jigsaw puzzles etc.
