The Blenheim and Picton Children's Libraries are divided into different sections, making it easy for you to find what you want. The main sections are: picture books, children's fiction, non-fiction, non-books.
In the children's library the picture books are found in alphabetical order by the author's last name. Children's fiction can also be found alphabetically by the first three letters of the author's last name. Non-fiction titles are found using the Dewey Decimal System which uses numbers on the spine to order the books. We also have a separate section for series books.
The best way to get to know the library is to come in and have a look around. And don't forget, if you can't find what you are looking for, ASK- our staff love kids' books and will be able to help you find what you want.
