We've freshened up our website to make it even more user-friendly. The “new look” we’re going for is simple, pared-back, and easy to navigate.
The text is larger so it’s clearer to read and the menus are clearer too – so it should all be easier on the eyes.
We’ve also changed the layout so that the website should display clearly on mobile devices, not just the big screen of your desktop computer.
Overall, it should be easier to find out about general library services, our digital services and library events – and all the other community resources available through our libraries.
As previously, our homepage features our catalogue search for when you just need to find that particular item or want to browse our collections.
Below are some tips to help you explore the site.
Catalogue and account
If you want to log in to your account to renew, reserve or place a hold, as in our previous website, the link to "Catalogue & Account" in the header of every page will take you to the catalogue, where you can log in. Don’t forget to have your library card number handy.
Select the menu button at the top left of the screen to display our main navigational headings. Here you will find out about the library, how to join, policies and services as well as our recommended reading and pages about our Children’s Library.
If you use our online resources like eAudio, eBooks and online newspapers through Pressreader, you will now go to the Digital Library section. There are two places you can find links to the Digital Library – one is midway down the home page within they yellow strip that also contains other well-used links. You will also find Digital Library by selecting the menu button at the top left of the screen. This menu is available from every page. Remember, if you want to access some of these resources you will need to enter your library card number and PIN (usually set at your year of birth).
If you’re after our ever-popular events like our pre-school programmes or book chat, we have included a new “Events” page on the main navigation headings menu also. Upcoming events also feature at the bottom of our homepage. You can also narrow your search for events to suit you and/or your family.

If you select the "search" in our header, we've given you two choices - "catalogue" gives you a look into the catalogue, where you can explore the resources we have available for you to read/watch or listen to.
