Marlborough District Libraries now offers access to ANZAC Stories, a new digital resource created by Archives New Zealand and the National Library of New Zealand.

Designed especially for 9–13 year olds, ANZAC Stories explores real-life experiences from World War I and II.

The site draws on thousands of original items from national collections, including photographs, letters, official records, and personal accounts. Stories have been written by well known children’s author Maria Gill and reviewed by military historian Dr Glyn Harper, ensuring the content is accurate and interesting.

ANZAC Stories is highly visual and interactive, featuring quizzes, short games, and hands on activities that encourage exploration and independent discovery. It is ideal for classroom support, research projects, and for familys.
