We are delighted to announce that from Thursday 13 August 2026, Marlborough District Libraries will no longer be charging fines on overdue items.

Our libraries are for everyone, and removing overdue fines helps make our services more accessible and welcoming for everyone in our community.

To help keep track of your loans, reminder emails will continue to be sent before items are due to be returned. We ask that you return or renew your items by the due date, as timely returns are important to ensure library materials remain available for other members of the community to borrow and enjoy.

To help you avoid overdue items, renewals can be made quickly and easily through the Marlborough Library App, online, in person at the library, or by contacting us via email.
