Flood Event FAQs

Following the flood event last week, we understand those affected may have questions about their items and our services.

Both libraries are open.

If you have been affected by flooding and can’t get in to your library to return your items please call or email us and we will renew your items. Any overdue fees incurred because of the flooding will be waived.

Should a hold become available while you are unable to travel, contact us and we will suspend it until you are able to travel again.

If you are waiting for an item that is on loan to another customer you may have to wait longer than expected if the item cannot be returned as a result of road closures and flood damage.

If items have been damaged as a result of the flood, charges will be waived. Contact us and we will remove the items from your account.

Should you need further support the libraries have access to the internet, printing and scanning.

As always there are a number of library services available, from home, in our Digital Library. These include ebooks, eaudiobooks, magazines and a range of homework and study resources.
