Room Bookings
The Marlborough District Libraries at Te Kahu o Waipuna and Picton Library and Service Centre have a variety of rooms available for hire.
How Much Does It Cost?
Te Kahu o Waipuna Blenheim
During Library Opening Hours
Non-commercial use
- All meeting rooms are free for the first two hours of use during library hours.
- For every hour after the first 2 hours, it costs $25.00 per hour per room.
- To hire the downstairs meeting rooms 2 & 3 combined is $37.50 per hour after the first two hours.
Commercial use
- Downstairs meeting rooms are $50.00 per hour per room, or $300.00 for a full day of 6+ hours.
- To hire the downstairs meeting rooms 2 & 3 combined is $75.00 per hour, or $450.00 for a full day of 6+ hours.
- First floor meeting rooms are $38.00 per hour, per room.
After Hours Rates
Non-commercial after hours use
- After hours use is only available for the three meeting rooms downstairs for a maximum of 4 hours.
- Ground floor after hours hire costs $25.00 per hour per room plus a $25.00 administration fee per booking.
- To hire meeting rooms 2 & 3 combined is $37.50 per hour plus a $25.00 administration fee per booking.
Commercial after hours use
- After hours use is only available for the three meeting rooms downstairs for a maximum of 4 hours.
- Ground floor after hours hire costs $50.00 per hour per room plus a $25.00 administration fee per booking.
- To hire meeting rooms 2 & 3 combined is $75.00 per hour plus a $25.00 administration fee per booking.
Picton Library
During Library Opening Hours
Non-commercial use
- All meeting rooms (including the Activities Room) are free for the first two hours of use during library hours.
- For every hour after the first 2 hours, it costs $25.00 per hour per room.
Commercial use
- The Activities Room is $50.00 per hour, during library hours.
- The Mezzanine Research Room and the Waitohi Room are $38.00 per hour each.

- After hours hire costs $25.00 per hour plus a $25.00 administration fee per booking.
Commercial after hours use
