Sewing Station

The library has a sewing station available for public use.

Our sewing stations have a Bernina B335 sewing machine and Bernina L450 overlocker kept in their own cabinet, which expands into a sewing table.

A kit with basic equipment such as scissors, seam ripper, pins, sewing clips, extra bobbins, four thread colours and machine accessories will be provided for use with the sewing station. An iron and ironing board is also available for use with the Sewing Station. You will need to provide all other materials for your project, including other thread colours.

To book the sewing machine, you will need to book a room and accept the terms and conditions for booking a room. Click here to view room bookings Ts and Cs. If you do not have a room bookings account you will need to set up an account. You will need an email address to do this. Click here to set up your account. Terms and conditions also apply to the use of the sewing station. Click here for the sewing station terms and conditions.
